Hi, we're astragal.

 

We are three best buds from Houston, Texas who met each other out of pure luck on craigslist in 2016. Since then we have wrecked two mini vans, gone on a couple tours, released three EPs, gotten into only one fight with one another, met countless friends, and have learned how to become better human beings through making music together.

 

In 2019 we decided to hunker down and write our unreleased album, "Pure Cashmere." The album is about the fragility of being human, the passage of time, and the struggles of addiction. It was recorded in Denton, Texas in an old victorian house by our good friends Nathan and Blake. 

 

Our name comes from the novel written by Albertine Sarrazin. Jimmy found the book in a bookstore in Greenwich Village when he was in highschool. Send us an address and we will be sure to send you a copy.
